Organization Background
This local government organization handles operations for one of the largest
cities in the state, with a population of 150,000. Founded in the mid 1800's,
the city grew quite rapidly from a quiet farming community to a center of
business and commerce in the late 1900's. Overseeing a number of operations,
such as numerous fire and police stations, hospitals, sewer and water utilities
and water treatment plants, the city valued the ability to network these
facilities together to improve efficiencies.
Problems
Old ATM network infrastructure
Unreliable equipment
Lack of support for legacy equipment
